Once significant healing happens, living from a place of alignment becomes non-negotiable — but that doesn’t make it easy. I can help you become okay with the challenges inherent in aligned living, which include: actively pushing up against well-established social norms, disappointing people, becoming new over and over again, letting go of things that bring you comfort (privilege, willful ignorance) because keeping them just isn’t an option anymore because: alignment.
I can help you:
Clarify your values — what really matters to you? (Not to your mom, or your boss, or your sister, or even your partner — to YOU.)
Develop new perspectives on the parts of you you’re leaving behind
Push back against the social and cultural norms that can leave you feeling unseen; I’m here to support you in your seemingly “alternative” desires and choices
Discover and clarify what you’re willing to lose in pursuit of aligned living
Clarify why - why do you value the things you value? Why are you willing to lose certain things to aligned living, but not others?
Feel secure in your choice to live an aligned life — which will almost always challenge you in unexpected and persistent ways, while also opening you to new groundedness and joy.
How we’ll do it:
Values clarification. Through pointed conversation and writing exercises, we’ll discover what you truly value; your values will drive your ability to live aligned for the long haul
Conversational idea exploration. Aligned living often asks us to think outside of the boxes our families and society have put us in; having someone to say “crazy” things to is essential
Support and resource curation. We will discover together what kind of books, feeds, people, etc. you need to stay alignment-oriented
After our work, what will be different:
You will feel bolstered and confident about your choices
You will understand why you are choosing to live the way you are, doing the things you do
You will feel able to respond to and deflect the criticism of others who do not understand your choices
You will feel like an active participant in your own life plan
You will be able to support others who aim to live aligned and integrated lives
You will be able to see the big picture, noticing where your values demand that you take action to work toward justice and a different kind of world
